Jeff Miller & The Congregation with Special Guest Rich Swanger

The original duo was created a few years ago when friends decided they just wanted to play some music together. Not intending to start a band, the guys took a few gigs locally, playing their favorite songs from almost every genre of music. Just two guys and their friends and families who enjoy good music. But it was apparent to everyone who heard them that these two had something special.

Fast forward 6 years, and the band has transformed into Jeff Miller and The Congregation. The unique vocal talent of Jeff Miller remains at the core. Joining Jeff are Russ Skelton, Bethany Houts, Ray Shelley on drums, and Jeremy Eggert on electric guitar. From the moment they start playing, they have a sound that’s entirely their own. It’s a little bluesy, a little country, and a lot of soul-infused magic. Brought together by a shared love of all styles of music, Jeff Miller and The Congregation are known for their rich harmonies and gritty vocals, held together by bass, drums, guitars, and fiddle. The group's sound isn’t just about the notes they sing or play but more about how their music makes you feel. Once you hear them, you want to hear more. It doesn’t matter if you’re young, old, or somewhere in between—there’s something for everyone when this band plays.

Come join the Jeff Miller and The Congregation family. We can’t wait to meet you!

Opener:

Rich Swanger is an Oregon based songwriter with roots in folk, gospel, and country-blues music. Born amongst the Appalachian hills of Pennsylvania, he was surrounded by song from the very beginning. He discovered harmony in the church choir and found an attraction to twang hearing his father strum country classics around the house. This led to a wild love for timeless melodies and rock-solid songwriting. A move to the Pacific Northwest in 2004 proved to be the catalyst he needed to start releasing some of his own music, and further explore his love of the song.
