A benefit supporting Family Kitchen, Deschutes Co. Search and Rescue and Central Oregon Avalanche Center.
Pine Mountain Sports’ Powderhound Preview and Fundraiser, annual “Welcome to Winter” party, is slated for Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the Tower Theatre in downtown Bend. After a ¼ of a century our Powderhound Preview and Fundraiser is coming to an end. We have hosted over 200 films from all around the world and this finale will be no different by featuring local photographers and filmmakers sharing short, locally produced movies of steep mountain faces, deep backcountry turns, and general outdoor fun.
“With our Central Oregon community’s embrace, The Powderhound Preview has turned into an institution all its own and has proven to be the one winter party which you should be sure not to miss” says Dan McGarigle, owner of Pine Mountain Sports. “Being our finale, we are expecting yet another sold out show, so make sure to get your tickets as soon as they go on sale.”
In addition to taunting local outdoor lovers with short films of powdery snow, the event draws a sold-out crowd eager to support our legendary raffle. Because of your generous donations, we will raffle away outdoor gear that benefits Central Oregon Avalanche Center and Deschutes County Search and Rescue. Over the years, Powderhound Preview’s raffle has raised more than $155,000 for local charities since its launch in 2000. Raffle tickets are available at the event. Raffle proceeds go directly to Central Oregon Avalanche Center and Deschutes County Search & Rescue.
Additionally, Pine Mtn Sports, via our Community Ambassador Program and additional fundraising efforts at Powderhound, has raised over $500,000 for community partner non-profits. This year we partnered with Family Kitchen as this year’s Pine Mtn Sports Community Ambassador Program beneficiary. Family Kitchen serves over 22,000 individuals each month in Central Oregon by providing nutritious hot meal to anyone in need.
Powderhound tickets are available starting November 1st, exclusively at Pine Mountain Sports. The cost is $15. (This event historically sells out well before the show
