bio.

I grew up in San Diego. Went to college at UCSD. Graduated with a degree in history.  Played some pro tennis. Lost matches all over the world. Some close.  Mostly not.  Moved to Los Angeles. Taught tennis and acted. Had little parts in about twenty movies.

Tried stand-up comedy for the first time November 11, 2002 at the Comedy Store in Hollywood. As of today I've gone onstage 1068 times. I was on season one of Live at Gotham. That set was number 574. That taped Sunday, April 23rd, 2006 in New York. In 2007 I shared the honor of best comic at the US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. Not sure how that happened but it got me a great manager.

Since then I even spent a month in Edinburgh at the Comedy Festival. I did 30 shows and counted 29 laughs. Yes. And three of them were mine.  Pretty sure I'm not going back.

August 29th 2007 I taped my first 1/2 hour Comedy Central Presents. We taped at the Hudson and it was my 964th time onstage. I had a slight concussion during the taping. Five minutes before taking the stage I walked into a door jam. We reapplied the makeup to hide the swelling and I took the stage. I think it may have helped.

Okay...I think that's about it for this bio. Oh...I also co-wrote and co-starred with Donal Logue in the comedy "Tennis Anyone?" It's one of my few victories with regards to anything with the word tennis involved.
