November 2006

DIRECTOR COMMENTS

When fall arrives, the air seems to clear and everything becomes brighter: the leaves turning brilliant colors, the blue of the sky, the neon blazing above the Tower Theatre. It's images like these that make the world seem comfortable and exciting at the same time.

Fall here at the Tower is progressing at an incredible rate and movement is everywhere. Sets are being erected, lights are being adjusted, snacks and wine boxes are being stocked and tickets are moving steadily into the hands of patrons.

November will see the renewal dates for many of our Tower Theatre Foundation members and we certainly urge you to see our schedule and realize how much your support has meant to the quality of production at the Tower. We are very much indebted. Thank you, and please consider continuing as members.

See you at the Tower,
Eli Ashley

UPDATE REPORT

For those who dropped by the Tower Theatre on October 6th and took in the Art Hop, you already know what a great success it was! The benefit for the Tower took in nearly $6,000.00 and our event partners, High Desert Art League, were absolutely brilliant showing their art works, assisting in organization and promoting. Our thanks to HDAL as well as the event sponsors, Pro-Air, LiberyBank, Sotheby's Realty, Microsphere, D.E. Rink, D.A. Davidson and Designer's Jewelry. So many other businesses and people helped to support Art Hop and we would like to thank them as well for putting together a great community art event.

VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH

For the month of November, Gene and Marcia Montalbano are our Volunteers of the Month. Congratulations to both! These folks have been volunteering at the Tower for some time now. House Manager and Volunteer Coordinator Yoleen Faerber says, "Gene and Marcia Montalbano are an elegant and engaging couple. They are gracious and make me feel welcome whenever I see them. Their smiles are warm and genuine. They embody all that we want a guest's Tower experience to be." What a great endorsement for such a nice pair of volunteers. Look for them the next time you drop by the Tower Theatre.

There are over 80 volunteers at the Tower Theatre, but there's still room for more! If you would like to volunteer, please contact Yoleen at (541) 317-0700 if you have questions or are interested in participating or check out our website for more information at: VOLUNTEER.
